The MJ5
The MJ5 is the CallowHill standard. Designed with the input of Uarts bass faculty head Micah Jones. Carefully thought out cuts and contours make the bass balance well, and access from the 1st fret to the 24th is unhindered and easy to reach.
The lengthy upper horn and position of the leg cut helps the bass to remain level whether sitting or standing, and the upper horn tapers away from the chest making the body rest in a more comfortable position.
The round-overs are fairly sharp (3/16), the extra surface area on the edges prevents "pinching" often found on basses with aerofoil shaping. Pickup placement allows for plenty of snap and growl in the bridge position while the neck placement allows for a thick throaty sound without loss of definition.
